Raccoons got into our coop last night and decimated my flock. They killed my favorite hen :( This afternoon I went and got a new batch of chicks since we are down to one egg layer (Oreo has yet to mature into laying eggs but it should be any day now) so expect pictures of the chicks over the weekend. I am super sad tho, I loved KFC, she was the sweetest hen and would cuddle in my lap. She was my favorite hen next to Red Hen aka Pong who died last year:

I maded this out of pictures I took with my dslr. I have a tendancy to sit in one place and just shoot continuous until my card fills. So now instead of never looking at those shots again I am going to make movies out of them. Here is the kitten acting like a spaz and attacking Evan's hoodie sleeve through a milk crate. For some reason he is obsessed with this milk crate and sits in it constantly. I think I am going to get a rack for my bike and strap the crate to the back. Then I can make some sort of little cage top and the kitten can ride bikes with us!

Today Yuriy and I went on the following bike ride. Bayshore Caltrain station (2.5 miles from our house on the mtn) to 4th and King in the city. Then we biked down Embarcadero thru Fisherman's Wharf to the Maritime Museum bay on Marina Green. We ate pulled pork sammiches that i packed, watched the crazy swimmers training for the Alcatraz swim race and then biked back to the train. It was super fun. today i took my road bike (not fixie) on a bike ride with a fixie rider thru the marina past the bay to el faralito to watch Mexico kick Nicaragua's ass for the first Gold Cup game. I believe I win the hipster trifecta.

my favorite hen is ill. i will be spending the evening hopefully nursing her back to health. plz pray/think happy thoughts for my chicken! i love her very much

My shell keeps going up and down. I can't be expected to work, if I can't get on irc every 10mins to bitch about work. This is sweatshop conditions. I am rebelling by editing non-work jpgs. This is a tiny frog that lives by demure's pool. Those are my fingers for scale which are the size of a 6th grader's.

Despite this allegedly being a vacation day, I have to work. I still have about 600jpgs to edit from visiting demure but I figured I would throw this one up real quick because it is hilarious. Kitten, Cats, and Dog missed me, Chickens were non-committal except for my favorite KFC. All is well at Casa de El Jepe, how was your weekend lj?

Evan (who is 14 now) had a subscription to Electronic Gaming Monthly but I guess they went out of business so the magazine company gave him a Maxim subscription instead. Which is fine, he is at that age you know, but still, what if he had been 10 still, or what if my mom was his mom?! too lol.

i just rode my bike to the store. i need to acquire some sort of basket or rack + basket to take the kitten. this bike is pretty fly. vry light and it has a lot of gears. i asked for the one with all the gears. if they make more gears i need to get them because i live on top of a fkn mountain. it is not ok and when do we put an elevator to the top of that thing plz advz. speaking of the kitten he is doing really well. he is so friendly and not skittish at all. very well socialized. tomorrow i need to prepare to leave for demure's house. I am vry excited to see my internet girlfriend. and to swim in her pool. expect many pictures of said pool at least until i drop my phone in. hope all of your internet is well and your irl is even better! <3
